In 1661, Robert Boyle was the first to use the term “chemistry” in his book “The Skeptical Chemist” and laid the foundation for our periodic table. This moment heralded the disappearance of the terms “alchemy” and “alchemist”. By mixing experiment and cosmology, alchemy cannot be described as a science according to our definition of science. Nevertheless, this connection offers special access to creativity and imagination. This workshop explored alternative periodic systems and was part of the exhibition "Alchemy. The Great Art" at the Gemäldegalerie, Berlin.
