The title Xylinum is the name of the bacterium which produces an artificial cellulose material. This bacterium consumes sugar and builds a cellulose fiber structure around any given form.
The aim of the project is to create an iconic image for a new production culture. This tangible object is supposed to function as a foundation for further discussion around the topic of biotechnology.
